Salk’s NCI-designated Cancer Center—one of the first such centers in America—is launching the Conquering Cancer Initiative. This five-year, $55 million effort will bring together scientists in more than 30 Salk labs to harness new strategies against the five deadliest cancers: pancreatic, ovarian, lung, brain (glioblastoma) and triple-negative breast.
